Happy New Year’s from Singapore!!!
I have been traveling around Asia for over a month now and I have to admit, I have done basically ZERO writing. I do historically have a major problem with writing on the road, so I prepared for lackluster motivation by getting what felt like TONS of Central America blogs ready before I left. I was planning to write some, but that just didn’t happen. Last week I ran out of pre-prepped blogs. And then my computer broke. In central Vietnam. Where there are no Apple stores. So for the past week we have been computer free, which means tons of reading and nice couple quality time (and lots of YouTube browsing), but absolutely no writing. Blogger fail. Whomp, whomp, whomp.
But somehow my computer, which had been displaying a flickering screen, which eventually went black, revved back to life right in time for a new year. A sign from the writing gods that I should get my butt in gear maybe? Logan also headed home yesterday, meaning my main distraction pulling me away from my self-imposed writing quotas is gone. No more excuses. Time to get to work.
I do have two more weeks of Asian travel ahead of me, but I have booked myself six nights in two different private bungalows in secluded areas of Bali and am planning on spending my days writing (by the pool obviously!). I leave for Bali in a few days and until then I will be working from my dorm room in Singapore during the hot afternoon hours. Writing and editing photos and posting blogs. For real. Scouts honor. Hopefully.
I am going to continue working my way through old blogs, but starting now I will also be writing about more recent travels, as well other posts from past travels that I have not written about before (mostly American travels, which I am really excited to share!).
For now, here’s a sneak peek at my Asia adventures.
